The Emblem of the Martyred is a pressed gold disc bearing the image of an armored figure with arms outstretched, taking a blow meant for another. It is warm to the touch — not with magic but with something harder to name. When you take damage that would have killed a nearby ally, the emblem absorbs it. You take the hit instead, but at greatly reduced force, and the act fills you with righteous resolve: your next attacks hit harder. The emblem remembers sacrifice.
