A rough-looking thug in mismatched armor pieced together from stolen goods and battlefield scavenging. A notched short sword and a battered round shield complete the ensemble. Bandits are the bread and butter of the lawless — not particularly skilled, not particularly brave, but dangerous enough in numbers. Most operate under a captain's orders, shaking down caravans and raiding homesteads on the fringes of civilization.
